95% of Spaniards prefer cork

The Cork project – a cork promotion campaign in Spain – conducted a study that showed 95% of Spaniards prefer cork stoppers for bottles of wine and cava. The results of the survey also show that 65% of Spaniards consider that cork stoppers better preserve the properties of the wine and cava than other closures and 88% consider that cork is the most ecofriendly closure.
