Cork better adapts to the “gran cru” wines
83% of wine consumers in France prefer cork, against 7% for plastic seals and 3% for aluminium caps. The study performed by OpinionWay also shows that 88% of those surveyed say that cork is the closure that best adapts to a “grand cru”, that they prefer to offer a bottle closed with cork (85%) and that cork is synonymous with quality (84%). According to those surveyed, cork makes a positive contribution to the maturation of the wine (81%) and it is the seal that most respects the environment (73%). Cork also arises as the closure that best preserves the aroma of wine (73%) and that allows the wine to keep for even longer (71%).
