Portugal leads export figures with a share of around 65%. It is also a major importer of cork, which it uses for processing and subsequent export. It is also the leader in the global area of cork oaks and cork production. Find out more here.
This leadership makes Portugal responsible for taking cork all over the world.
Cork is present in more than 100 countries which soon realised the qualities of this 100% natural, environmentally friendly, and flexible material. To unlock its potential, APCOR has implemented campaigns to publicise cork in traditional markets (France, Spain, Italy, Germany, USA, United Kingdom) and in markets that have woken up a little later to cork (China, Brazil, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Japan, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, UAE, Canada).
