The sector provides a range of other stoppers besides natural and technical cork stoppers. The processes are similar, with only minor variations.
Multipiece natural stoppers – are manufactured from two or more halves of natural cork glued together with an adhesive approved for use with food.
Champagne stoppers – are manufactured by the same process as that of technical corks but having a greater diameter.
Agglomerated and micro-granulated stoppers – are manufactured with granules of cork, following the logic of technical corks, and they have different grades.
Capped stoppers – they are manufactured with natural or agglomerated cork, following the same procedures as natural cork stoppers and technical stoppers, on the end of which a cap of wood, PVC, metal or glass, among other materials, is glued.
