Environmental services are quantified

The environmental services of the cork oak forest are valued at least 100 euros per year per hectare. The study conducted by Corticeira Amorim and CE Liège, attributed a value to the environmental services of the cork oak forest. The research was conducted on the Herdade da Machoqueira estate, in Grou, a property of 2423 hectares with different soil uses, including about 1000 hectares of cork oak forest.
