The recognized Italian Chef Carlo Cracco is the latest cork ambassador. In an event that took place at his newest restaurant “Cracco e Camila”located in Milan, Italy, where InterCork – International Cork Campaign – was launched, Carlo Cracco expressed his preference for cork stoppers. “Cork and cork oak tree are a precious cultural, environmental and economic heritage, and a synonymous of excellence” he said. He continued: “in my profession I always seek the highest quality and that is why I support the cork and assume the role of its ambassador in Italy.”
His other restaurant called “Cracco”, open since 2001, is holder of two Michelin stars and three “forks” Gambero Rosso . In 2007, it was elected one of the 50 best restaurants in the world .
Carlos Cracco was appointed, in 2012, by the Trussardi family to manage the Trussardi Ristorante di Milano Scala theater, and he is one of the three chef ‘s of Masterchef Italia program. He is also president of the Associazione Maestro Martino, an non-profit association which aims to promote the cuisine the Author.
