Cork it all
The sculptor, designer and architect Miguel Arruda designed a line of cork furniture for the street furniture company Larus, of Albergaria-a-Velha. Miguel Arruda uses the cork for its boldness in design and resistance, tactile softness and thermal comfort. Cork It All is a modular construction system of Pedro Joel Costa using composite cork base panels designed and manufactured by Sedacor. Miguel Arruda is also the designer of the Spherical cork chair inspired by his work Habitable Sculpture, in which he carries the memory of one of his first sculptures, in 1968, to the current time – designed in 2010 for the Garden of Olives of the Belém Cultural Centre, in Lisbon.
