Two trams, two cork-based revampings
Lisbon has two revamped trams lined with cork. Cork on the outside, cork inside on the seats and curtains. The two vehicles run on the Castle Tram Tour route, from Praça da Figueira square to São Jorge castle, going past historical sites such as Lisbon Cathedral, São Vicente de Fora monastery and Largo da Graça square. The Electri’Cork project has associated the typical Portuguese tram with the Portuguese material, in a design by the artist Nuno Vasa.
