Cork is inside wind turbine blades. The lightness and the thermal capacity have not gone unnoticed among companies of Northern Europe. The advantages are visible and recognised: cork improves the performance of wind turbine blades at low temperatures, as it does not allow ice to halt the functioning of the blades, besides being an excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.
